Buyer questions
A gully grating admits surface water through open slots. A manhole cover normally closes an access chamber and is selected primarily for access and load performance.
Provide the catch basin opening, expected flow, available grate area, slot direction and any debris or pedestrian safety requirements.
Bolted, hinged or captive arrangements may be available depending on the frame and maintenance method.
The engineer should select the class from the installation area and project standard. Road traffic and kerb locations can require different classes.
Include standard, load class, clear opening, frame size, quantity and destination port.
